Ciranda’s cocoa and chocolate products are made from cocoa originating in Latin America. The main cocoa tree varieties for our Silver products (grown and processed in Peru) are Criollo, Trinitario, and the Ecuadorian developed and favored Nacional or CN 51. Our Gold cocoa powders are made mostly from Dominican Republic beans from Criollo-type trees. Ciranda's gold cocoa powders are processed in the U.S. or Europe. All of these tree varieties have a medium cocoa flavor with strong fruity overtones.
