Tapioca Products

Also known as manioc or cassava, tapioca originated in the hot climates of Brazil, where indigenous peoples cultivate it today as they have for thousands of years. Drought-hardy and productive, even in difficult growing environments, tapioca still provides food security for farmers in tropical regions.

Tapioca is the world’s third largest carbohydrate source for human consumption.  But unlike corn and rice, GMO tapioca is not commercially cultivated.  The native starch, the base ingredient for all our tapioca products, is extracted from the root of the plant.  We offer several varieties of powdered tapioca as well as syrups produced from tapioca starch.
