Non-GMO canola (rapeseed) lecithin is a translucent, yellow-to-amber viscous liquid used in a variety of applications as an emulsifier, wetting agent, stabilizer, instantizing agent, release agent, lubricant, antioxidant and dispersant. It contains both hydrophilic (water-friendly) and lipophilic (oil-friendly) properties.
Ciranda offers lecithin derived from canola (rapeseed), soybeans, and sunflower seeds, each with their own unique characteristics. Liquid canola lecithin has technical properties similar to soy lecithin, with the desired non-allergenic properties of sunflower lecithin. In most applications, canola lecithin can be substituted one-to-one for liquid soy lecithin, and can often be used in smaller quantities than liquid sunflower lecithin due to the natural waxes present in sunflower seeds.
Try canola lecithin in baked goods, chocolate, beverages, vegan butter alternatives or frozen desserts.
Ciranda's non-GMO canola lecithin is Non-GMO Project Verified and identity preserved (IP).
